Attractions & Things to do in La Antigua

Filadelfia Coffee Resort & Tours is located on a working coffee plantation only five minutes from Antigua Guatemala. Antigua is a UNESCO protected world heritage site that offers access to nature, hiking volcanoes, history, shopping, art galleries and great restaurants. Weather is tempered with clear bright skies during most of the year and a median temperate of about 75 degrees Fahrenheit. About 190 different species of birds were recorded in the last 12 years including the national bird, Quetzal, as many different species of mammals.

Antigua Guatemala (or "La Antigua", as it is often called) was founded in the mid-sixteenth century by Spanish conquistadors. It was the capital of Guatemala until the late eighteenth century, when the capital was relocated to present-day Guatemala City.

La Antigua is perched within the Valley of Panchoy, in the shadow of three volcanoes. It boasts both stunning Baroque architecture and awe-inspiring natural beauty, and was recently voted one of the Top Five Cities in Central and South America by Condé Nast Traveler readers.

Filadelfia Coffee Resort enjoys a superb location right on the outskirts of this magnificent city, placing some of La Antigua's best attractions at your doorstep. Below are our suggestions for things to see and do. If you would like any additional information, please contact us at hotel@filadelfiaresort.com.
